She is passionate about helping women who are perturbed/disabled by the symptoms of Menopause and she understands the health risk that women face beyond Menopause. She aims to empower each of the woman with the latest and evidence based information to ensure that they age well and staying healthy for the second half of their lives. This second part of a woman’s life should be a time of fulfilment and joy rather than greater challenge. We deserve it after what we have given to humanity thus far.
2 ) Skin cancer detection, management and prevention.
Skin cancer is the quiet disease of our society and we must stay mindful of it. Annie advocates judicious use of sun protection, regular self examination for any changes in your skin and dedicated yearly skin check for anyone older than 35. Earlier in those with past history or family history of skin cancer. For those who have had a history of frequent sunburn in their younger life, they should be more vigilant regarding skin cancer as well.
3) Psychological medicine.
Annie understand that psychological distress is a common problem in our community that can have greater ramifications throughout a person’s life. For a large proportion of these patients, to know who they can talk to can be an important steps in addressing the underlining problem. Your GP is often the best person outside your family who could be your resounding board and a stepping stone to other health professionals if needed.
